For the first time ever, Goethe Elementary School in Logan Square is hosting a virtual talent show. This highly anticipated event will showcase the talent of our students from all grade levels.
Goethe's Got Talent Timeline:
January 8th: Live/video auditions will start
January 15th: Visual art submissions & video performances are due
January 22nd: Virtual dress rehearsal for all participants 3-7pm
January 23rd: Goethe's Got Talent Virtual Show
Visual Art Submissions:
Artists who signed up to participate on or before the December 18th deadline please fill out the form at the link below to submit your artwork. We are asking all artist to include an image of yourself and a title for your work.
Dance, Comedy, and Music Auditions:
We will be hosting 10 minute auditions for the live/video performances starting January 8, 2021. If you signed up to participate on or before the December 18, 2020 deadline, you will receive an email to select a time for your audition the week of January 4, 2020. Over 5o students have signed up to showcase their talent through music, dance, or comedy performances in our virtual talent show. For everyone to participate, we ask all performances be limited to 2 minutes or less.
Audition Format:
Google Meet Video conference (You will receive the link after you sign up for a time, sign ups will go out the week of January 4th.
10 minute audition.
Students will perform or show their performance video.
Teacher and parent audition team will provide feedback and approve the content of the performance.
What To Prepare:
Be prepared to play or perform your 2 minute act during the audition.
If you are submitting a video, plan on showing a first draft of the video to receive feedback and approval. If you do not have a video ready be prepared to perform your act live and explain the video production.
If you do not have a performance prepared for your audition you will not be able to perform in the talent show.
