Discussion:

• Welcome

  • This meeting is remote due to COVID+, we will keep in person meetings

• Recruitment update - Gabby

  • Principal meeting date with PreK kids who are rising kindergartners - 15Mar/ 10:30am

    • Cassie will work on a flyer for the event

  • Tours are live and people are signing up

  • A flyer to be posted around neighborhood is forthcoming

• Fun Run Update

  • Event is 27 and 28Apr

  • There's a team going to each classroom to talk about Fun Run. Currently under translation, once delivered, the classroom discussions are expected to kick off week of 13Mar

  • Kids will be going home with packets

  • Pre-K will be on one day, the rest of the school will be on the other day to cheer each other on

  • Around 7.8K currently pledged

  • Kids will be raising money on a flat rate, not per lap

  • If every child is able to raise $80, we will raise 40K through via peer funding

• Karaoke for Kids - Nicole and Natalie

  • Event is Friday, 10Mar

  • Silent auction went live today, please remind peers to register for the app and start bidding on silent auction

  • ~65 out of 132 tickets sold

  • Donated food available, pending vegetarian items

• Field Problem Solving Committee - Cassie

  • Drawings were expected end of Feb, but delayed to end of March

• STEAM committee funding request - Elizabeth

  • Family STEAM night on 16Mar

  • Funding request for STEAM challenges materials - $500

    • YAY: 12; NAY: 0 -- Passed

• Under $500 spends:

  • Spends of this amount do not require voting, Joanna approved the following

    • Ms. Vazquez - Reading in Motion play $300

    • Fourth Grade field trip for ice skating exposure $200

• Merchandise Update

  • Merch will be stored at school in a locked cabinet

  • Kid sizing information gathering was completed, order went in to BarrelMaker today, delivery expected in the next few weeks

  • Online store can go live as soon as items to stock are confirmed

    • Items to stock: t-shirt, hoodie, sticker, car magnet

    • These will be on pre-order for a certain amount of time; we will order additional to have stock on hand

• Teacher appreciation

  • May 8th - May 12th

  • Sara Action: Order for 120 people, up to $400; delivery timing should be from 10am (earliest lunch) - 12pm (latest lunch)

  • Week of thanking teachers will include a thank you for support staff as well

• FYI, Mandalyn Renicker owns 4 Start Cyclery. She is trying to kick off a Bike To School event on May 4th
