Welcome & Updates

• Budget meeting update

  • Remaining in budget buckets for the year: 4K academic enrichment, 3K capital improvements, 3K teacher support, 2K principal discretion, over by $800 in community, $600 in general operating expenses

  • Therefore, we have 9-10K left to spend for the year

  • Next year, consider increasing community outreach

  • Overall raised for this year is approximately 115-120K!

• 150 additional Sky tickets were gifted to Goethe, Joanna managing

• FOGS/ LSC volunteer party next weekend at Mari's house, Mari managing

• "Stop the Mudness" has received considerable state and federal contributions. We are on the agenda for CPS approval at the meeting in mid-June.

• Kindergarten has enrolled 53 of 62 available spots

Votes

• Budget for incoming kindergartener playdates - Up to $1000 - Approved

  • Mari and Sara will organize 2 to 3 playdates this summer

• Inside wayfinding signage

  • Same company as outdoor signage is able to provide interior directional (bathrooms this way, etc), blade signs for main offices, and room numbers for $5600

  • Approved, including moving money from academic enrichment to capital improvements to cover

• Joanna wishes to give Ms Vasquez reassurance that we will fund her decorations next year, $1000 for next year's budget - Approved

• Sound Trap subscription is $5500 over 3 year, starting in the fall. This will be voted on in the fall.

• Spirit wear supplemental budget for t-shirts and sweatshirts for next year. School has 14K in funding, asking to bridge the gap via FOGS. FOGS approves up to 2K, if needed

Planning for the Future

• We will set meeting dates for SY 24/25 event planning after Elmasri weigh in

• Ad hoc FOGS meetings over the summer - 1 to 2, Sunday evenings, Joanna will arrange

• FOGS members should attempt to recruit new FOGS members for next year. We need do-ers!
